The VanTrue N5 is an impressive piece of kit. From the moment I began using it, I was struck by the crystal-clear image quality and the wide range of customisation options it offers. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into both the hardware and software, making it one of the most capable dash cams I’ve used.I opted to have the unit professionally hardwired into my vehicle. Initially, I ran into an issue where the device would intermittently power off. I reached out to VanTrue’s customer support team, and I must commend them on their persistence and professionalism throughout the troubleshooting process.They began by sending a replacement SD card to rule out any storage-related faults. When that didn’t resolve the issue, they continued to work with me to isolate the problem, providing multiple suggestions and remaining engaged throughout. Thanks to their support, I was able to identify the issue: the cable connecting the front and rear cameras.As it turns out, the installers had used an alternative cable because the original provided by VanTrue wasn’t quite long enough for my large vehicle. Unfortunately, the substitute wasn’t fully compatible. Once I relayed this back to VanTrue, they very kindly sent out a longer 6m replacement cable, free of charge.This level of commitment to after-sales support is rare and deserves recognition. I have every confidence that the new cable will resolve the issue, and it’s reassuring to know that VanTrue stand behind their product with such responsive and helpful customer service.In summary, the VanTrue N5 is a top-tier dash cam, and it's backed by a support team that genuinely cares about its customers.

I had an earlier version of a Vantrue dashcam which gave reliable service :)I changed vehicles and decided that I wanted forward, rear, rear cabin and front cabin video. I work in the logistics sector and am increasingly aware that Dash Cam footage is going to be ever more important for proving what you were/were not doing at the time of an RTC or other incident.VIDEO SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS!Daytime video quality is superb, night time is very good. I particularly like the sentry mode. It's as good as having an extra CCTV system outside your house/work although it can be really annoying to see what your work colleagues and neighbours do around your property when they think no one is watching!Price seems fairly expensive until you consider that one of these might, or probably will, save you a whole load of aggravation and cash at some point. Someone reverse into your car in a a supermarket car park and bugger off without leaving a note? This will catch 'em for you and your insurance company will do the rest.....I liked mine immediately, and so did my wife so I had to fork out for a second one a few weeks later..... :)

This dashcam's video footage helped me successfully pursue a protracted insurance claim case following an accident. Although only the front camera unit was installed, the interior facing camera has such a wide angle lens that the incident was clearly captured from the rear and side window, on top of which it was night-time.The build quality of the Vantrue N5 is excellent and feels premium. The magnet mount is strong and secure. I used the permanent windscreen mount, after the accident I brought the suction cup mount to use temporarily, both are good options.From my experience the Vantrue N5 dashcam has excellent day time visibility for both the external and internal cameras. For night time the interior camera footage quality is excellent, whilst the external for night time is satisfactory.The vantrue app has been intuitive and does what is expected to connect to the camera and retrieve and share footage onto my phone. My only gripe would be there is no search function which means I have to scroll through potentially hundreds of files to find something. However, collisions are automatically detected and stored in a separate folder which is helpful.I used the original hardwire kit and had it fitted by an auto electrician. It worked flawlessly without any issues. For my next car I intend to have the rear camera also fitted.Vantrue customer support has been excellent as has their communication. I requested new stickers for the window mount which they sent without charge. After I realised the window mount was damaged due to the accident, they kindly sent out a replacement - again without charge. Thank you.I have recommended this camera to my friends.
