I can't recommend this instrument highly enough...
The battery on my dump trailer was acting up,...or at least I thought it was the battery, but wasn't sure. So, I bought this, and sure enough - I hooked this thing up and just did the simple first battery test and after it did some looking and thinking, it popped up with "Replace" on the screen with all the data/numbers. From what I could tell from the data, the battery had a short inside it, even though it showed a full charge of 12.87 volts...100% charge. I'm glad I got it.. I can't recommend this instrument highly enough. Very useful instrument.

Know with confidence your battery status.
Don't know how I survived this long without a good battery tester. And this is a GREAT battery tester. Easy intuitive instructions. Just push the buttons and follow the instructions. I suspected my car battery was dying as it slightly dragged on first start up in the morning. The tester proved it needed replacing. Scooter battery - REPLACE. Boat battery not so good either. Tested my new VERY expensive boat batteries, 100% health, 100% charged!Test if alternator is charging. Test battery cranking power. Couldn't be easier. Ease of mind knowing if your battery is any good.

Very good quality tester, and easy to understand for a beginner.
Topdon battery tester is awesome. I never owned a car battery tester, but I live this. Its easy to understand. If the cable was longer, so I can test my charging system in my car. That small cable is not important. Still 5 stars, because the company is easy to work with, and the communication is good.

Easy to use Battery Tesster
"I used this tester on a 4-year-old battery that I suspected was failing. The device is very easy to use, and I ran all three tests—Battery, Cranking, and Charging. It indicated that the battery was still good, but I wasn’t sure what all the numbers meant. This tester saves the info. So, I entered the results into ChatGPT, which explained that while the battery was still functional, it might need replacing soon—especially in cold weather. With temperatures dropping to -10°F in the mornings, that was valuable insight. Overall, a useful tool for checking battery health!"Based on your battery test results, here’s what each reading indicates about its overall health and performance:ChatGPT results1. Health: 66% – This suggests that the battery has lost a significant portion of its original capacity and is starting to weaken. It may not hold a charge as well as a new battery.2. Charging: 87% – The battery is mostly charged, so it's not a charging issue causing the low cranking power.3. Internal Resistance: 6.3 mΩ (milliohms) – Higher internal resistance reduces the battery’s ability to deliver current quickly, which is crucial for cranking. A new battery typically has lower resistance (below 5 mΩ for a good one), so this indicates some aging.4. Loaded Voltage: 11.94V – When under load, the voltage drops significantly. Ideally, a healthy battery should stay above 12.2V under load. This drop suggests the battery is struggling to maintain power when demand is high (like starting the engine).5. Unloaded Voltage: 13.97V – This is normal for a fully charged battery, but the significant voltage drop under load confirms that the battery's ability to supply power is declining.6. Ripple: 5mV – This is a low ripple, meaning your alternator is providing stable voltage with minimal fluctuations. Conclusion:Your battery still functions but is weak and deteriorating. The high internal resistance and voltage drop under load indicate that it may struggle to start your vehicle reliably, especially in cold weather or under heavy electrical loads.Recommendation:If your vehicle is slow to crank, you should strongly consider replacing the battery soon.If you’re not experiencing cranking issues yet, monitor it closely, but be prepared for a replacement in the near future.Cold weather will make the issue worse, so if winter is coming, a new battery would be a wise investment.

Good Product - All Car Owners Should Have One
A definite must have for anyone who enjoys (or otherwise, must) working on their own vehicles. The instructions were simple to follow and the results were just as accurate as the one used by my local Autozone and just as good as the one used by one of the local repairs shops. I've not used these outside of the aforementioned places and I'm happy with my purchase. Car batteries are the easiest items to replace and even easier to test. Every car owner should keep one!

Good value for the money.
It seems to give a peace of mind without having to go through all the Technical steps of really checking out the battery to see if it will take a charge or how long it will last when you on that long journey.
