This works perfect! Even the bears couldn't get in it. They did drag it in the creek!!

More flexible programming
It really doesn't have a cone shape at the bottom so it doesn't feed corn nearly as well as the previous model we had. Also it jams easily because of the small opening. As a result it's necessary to go through the corn by hand to remove any chunks of cob or stalk which is a tedious process. It does offer a lot more flexibility to set feeding times and amount. The programming is a little confusing and took a while to really understand.

Great feeder
We have several feeders, but this one is our favorite. Definitely buy a good 6V battery, they throw better. The battery lasted almost a year in one and still going in the other. We feed twice a day all year long.

Corn clogs above dispenser so it does not feed
I have been trying to make this work for 3 months. The food/corn gets stuck in the hole above the dispenser. After I unclog it it works for a couple feedings then get clogged again. I have tried both cracked corn and whole corn, neither one works. The dispenser height adjustment does not solve the problem either. It's so disapointing and frustrating. I would suggest no one buy this item, it does not work.

Deer feeder
Deer feeder is awesome. This one the squirrels can’t get to it like they did my other deer feeder and they chewed it up.

Corn gets stuck in it
It was a good thought. I was looking for something smaller like this but the design doesn’t work as the feed doesn’t make it down to the thrower the flat bottom isn’t good feed gets hung up and bridges up in the bucket doesn’t flow into the feeder so it runs and not much is dispensed.

Very well built
Strong sturdy and well made , will last for years . Controls a little confusing at first but easily mastered
