Awesome! Originally planned to buy from, a different company (what looked to me like the most visible company on Amazon), but after four days of not being able to contact customer service on the phone or having a message returned, looked elsewhere. I ordered a 7' x 29' and 4' x 29' from Tang so I figured they would take several days to put things together. Wrong. They shipped the next day and I had them both in two days. Super fast! Very simple instructions and easy to install. Nice quality. Hardware packet came with extra parts (nice touch) and they are all good quality stainless (which I know from a lifetime of boating is critical to longevity). Couldn't be happier. Nice product, great service.

We bought 2 7-foot and 1 3-foot covers for our 12' x 18" deck. The 16 foot covers were cheaper than 12 foot so we bought those and cut off the extra. (You could hem the edge or singe with a flame to seal it, but we left as is and no raveling so far.) We got the waterproof version because, well, we live in the Seattle area. This allows us to keep the sun off on the days that's an issue (used to be about a week a year but increasing) and also lets us bbq when it's raining. We had a support structure incorporated into a deck railing and it looks great! Contractor said it was easy to install, too. We installed below the eaves so were limited to a 7' height. We eliminated the "swag" in the cover and use small bungies to hold them taught. We worried it would feel claustrophobic, but it's just cozy. Pic is before we tidied up and still need some landscaping, but you get the idea!

We added 3 sail shades to our new patio last month. So far, the installation was simple and done with 2 people. All parts were included and the shade material is a nice sturdy fabric (we went with the water resistant heavier fabric). They have provided good shade and let enough light in so our plants and indoor kitchen still have enough light. The shades do need to be fastened open or they will slide back. The only problem we have had is the fabric tape has already shown wear and tearing in multiple places. We have had winds up to 20 miles per hour, which is normal for our area. We would have liked to leave the shades extended, but if the tape is not going to hold up we will have to close them more often. This means getting out the ladder, as you have to fasten them open. Not ideal, so only 4 stars. They look very pretty and dress up our patio nicely.

We have lived in our home for 8 years and have never been able to enjoy our patio in the summer because of the sun. For gatherings and dinners we've had to place patio umbrellas everywhere and esthetically it looked bad and still failed to truly cool off the patio. I found these shades, and I am shocked. Instantly the patio felt cooler after installing just 1! My husband and I couldn't believe how well they're working. The only downfall is that when the wind is blowing they retract back if you don't secure the carabiner to the other end (picture). We are trying to think of ways to secure it without getting up and down on a ladder. Overall I am so happy with these. We live in OH so we're planning on taking them down in the winter but if you've thinking about them... don't hesitate!

We ordered five of these shade covers; three of them came with none of the hardware and one of them was the wrong color. First I screamed into the void of despair, since the listing plainly says "What’s included? Fabric with panels, wire cable, pad eye, retract rod, control tape, turnbuckle, wire clips" but there were in fact no pad eyes, turnbuckles, or wire clips, nor the also-required "shackle screw pin buckle" or ceiling hooks. And then I spent an shopping for all of those parts on Amazon and ordering them at the low-low price of another $140 because I definitely don't have time to play pattycakes with the seller on fixing their mistake. And then initiated a return of the wrong-color one and ordered it in the right color. Good times.But we did go ahead and install one of the shades that had all of the hardware included, and it was pretty easy. Shade seems of decent quality for the price, it looks nice, and most importantly it provides shade from the soul-crushing, never-ending, brutal full Texas sun on 107-degree days.It would just be really super nice if manufacturers/packers/whoever would do their jobs right and include everything the customer pays for. We have an atrium in the middle of our house and it HEATS up our entire house. I’ve been debating on putting tint on our very large windows but we decided to try these shades instead. After measuring our dimensions, we decided to get two smaller shades rather than 1 big one. Our atrium measure 7ft by 10ft - so we got two 3ft by 10ft shades. We didn’t want to risk the shades touching the walls and we don’t mind a little light getting through. Now our entire house doesn’t get hot and the shades look great! When installing the shades, one side of the wall is where you anchor the shades and the other side is where you pull them open towards - just like one of the reviews on here stated, you should drill the anchored side just slightly higher than the open side to prevent sagging. Highly recommend this product!

I purchased several of these to span a space between two buildings. The description provided clearly indicates that there are two options for installing, however, only sufficient cable provided for the shorter option. I contacted for help to get replacement cables and the agent, which clearly didn't speak the language, was rude and not helpful at all. Blamed me for not understanding even though the written descriptions and photos were inconsistent at best and misleading. There are other options on Amazon..go with them and stay away from Tang / SunshadeDepot.

We love them! use the spacers- helps a lot for coverage. The spacers lasted less than two years but they give you extra so we will be putting them back on.
