My work was looking for a way to inspect for water damage in the SIM slot on iPhones. We were also looking for a way to record any possible evidence of water damage to show customers and use as a training tool. In the past we were using normal otoscope versus the digital model.I went a head and purchased this device and it has worked flawlessly with my device and multiple others. We are able to use it to inspect the devices plus record it. The ability to view it on screen has been a great resource.I also used the device to check my child's ear just to see how well it worked for it's intended roll. It worked very well and I was able to see the ear drum and inspect the way canal.I've used the otoscope with my LG G7 plus LG G6, iPad Pro, iPhone 7, Samsung SO. All worked as advertised.Would recommend this to others.

Device works well with my Samsung S6. App works fine. My battery did get hot as I used it. Pulls a bit of juice. I use a much more expensive one at work. Similar results, less cost. Can take pictures and video of your session.

There are a lot of Five star reviews here and they are mostly the same. This made me think that there was something fishy going on. I just bit the bullet and bought it anyway because of the price compared to similar products, It arrived on time, the package includes a whole set of cleaning tools and the camera has a long USB/Mico cable. Set up is easy, up and running in minutes.Some negative reviews are not accurate (May be due to product update):It does work with Windows 10, I did see another review that said it doesn't. incorrect too. The software is not not sketchy at all, but it's FPS and lag is not good. This does work with any camera app, Windows camera software is much faster for real time feed back and the image quality is better. For other camera software like Media Player Classic. VLC, YawCam. YouCam...etc. be sure to change the video steam to to PAL.Product use:Getting use to the orientation of the camera takes practice. The amazing thing is the magnification, it is like having a portable microscope. If you ever tried to navigate with a microscope camera, then you'll understand why navigation is difficult and why you need a really steady hand. You maybe tempted to push in to the ear canal, this is not necessary. Put the device just outside the ear canal and shine the light in. You will be able to see your ear drum. slowly move in to get a closer look. The latency lag with the default software is terrible. For windows 10, I recommend the windows store camera or some other Hardware accelerated software. The attachments are for cleaning but they do also help illuminate the inside of the ear. If the attachment obscures your view too much, look in your ear without the attachment.Cleaning:My ears have been itching too frequently. I had a look and saw that my ears did not have wax, but there was a lot of dry flakey skin. I used the sticky attachment and was able to clean it all up. You can get close to the ear drum, but if you have impacted wax next to the ear drum, you should see a doctor to have it removed. This attachments for this device are not meant for probing close to the ear drum, which is a good thing for safety reasons. If you have a steady hand and want to clean right up to your ear drum, then you should purchase a more professional kit, but that is pricy.

I bought this otoscope because my son has ear tubes due to chronic ear infections. For a while I have wanted to take pictures of his ears but I only had a traditional otoscope. When I purchased this USB otoscope I was able to look in his ears and actually take a photo of his malfunctioning ear tubes. It also helps him sit still while I look in his ears because he is able to see what I am looking at on my phone. The light has adjustable brightness and makes it really easy to clean ears with the different little tools. Note: the otoscope won't work until you download the app listed in the user manual.

This otoscope is definitely more suited for personal use than other versions. I actually bought this one to use on my dogs' ears. He has allergies so gets bad wax buildup to the point it affects his hearing. I don't go too deep because I don't want to damage his ears, but it's perfect for seeing how his ears are doing. I can even get some of the surface wax out. I use the vet for the really deep stuff to be safe. I love the fact that it's wifi so I don't have to connect all sorts of adapters to get it to work with my phone or pc. It's also good if you drop something down the sink, inspection the barrel of a firearm, any tight place that also requires illumination. Overall a very handy tool to have.

The otoscope is only for Android phones. I hooked it up to my pc and after downloading some stuff to make it compatible, it was good. I have always been interested is what ears look like. Fun product. I liked playing with this with my son.

I like this tool for inspecting random things that have nothing to do with the human body. There have been enough youtubers out there already saying what a terrible idea it is to stick flimsy junk you bought off Amazon into your body, so I won't. Instead, I'm just surprised how little effort was put into making this appear to be sanitary. No sterilization instructions and I don't think it's even possible to sterilize this. The software the instructions encourage you to download immediately tries to sell you they paid version of the app. It's cheap and I hope you don't end up with an infection.
