Decent iron pan, cheap, held up well even on full heat, if you take care of the coating this is a good buy

Good quality
Lodge is a big American brand with good quality. I wash it although not recommended but I put it in the oven at 80C to dry it thoroughly before coating it with oil every time after use. It’s easy to coat and soon it becomes non stick. Remember to heat it well before pouring oil and I can even make omelettes.

Great pan
Love this pan. I use it mostly for toasting veggies (no oil) and spices, frying and even put it in the oven to bake in it once. Also looks great on the kitchen table, but make sure it cools down a bit — it keeps quite hot for much longer than stainless steel pans. It's fairly non-stick — no issues with fried eggs or chicken breast (meat should be at room temp and it releases easily after a bit of cooking).Cast iron is much easier to maintain than I thought. For cleaning I use a brush with plastic bristles and water — that usually gets burnt bits out. If that doesn't help, I resolve to a stainless steel scourer (Spontex) which never fails to clean the pan without much effort. After washing, I always put it back on the hob and dry it on the flame, and that's it. If I use a scourer I would put a bit of oil, swirl it, and leave it on the flame until smoking hot.The 9" is a great size for couples or for cooking side dishes.

A Solid Pan, but a Bit of a Learning Curve for Beginners
This is my first time owning a cast iron pan, so it’s all quite new to me. I bought the Lodge 9-inch cast iron pan from Amazon, and when it arrived, everything seemed fine—delivery was okay, and the pan looked good. However, after a few days of sitting unused on the counter, I noticed a few spots of rust developing. I’m not sure if it’s down to condensation in the air or maybe the odd accidental water drop. Then, when I washed it, dried it, and went to use it, I wasn’t convinced it was properly pre-seasoned.That said, I might be using it wrong—it’s all part of the learning curve, I suppose! Thankfully, there are some great YouTube tutorials I’m planning to try.On the plus side, the build quality is solid, it’s got a good weight to it, and it retains heat really well when cooking. I’m looking forward to giving it another go and hopefully getting the hang of it!Overall, it’s a decent product, but beginners like me might need to put in a bit of extra effort to get the most out of it.
