Great adapters, perfect for travel
I bought the 3 pack because it wasn't too much more than a single adapter. They worked great in Qatar. I used one next to the bed to charge my phone and other devices. I only used the USB ports.

nice to have for european travel.
nice thing is the usb ports. don't assume that you can plug 110 volt appliances in this and they work! this is a 220 volt pass through. most "wall worts" are auto sense 110/220 but check befor plugging one in.

Not BS-8546 compliant, so probably illegal to use in UK.
These worked well for a recent vacation to Scotland. The build quality seems good, and the pins fit snugly into the UK outlets. The USB ports were very handy for charging phones, tablets, and headphones, and the US outlet worked well for a couple of laptops with auto-sensing 100-240V power bricks. The price I paid seems fair, and having 3 was perfect for us since 3 of us were traveling together. So they worked, but are they safe?Don't get me wrong - these adapters do have some of the required safety features - they have shrouds on the live and neutral pins, and shutters on the nema receptacles, but they don't appear to be fused. They also don't appear to be BS-8546 compliant - the British Standards Institution specification that covers travel adapters. They are not marked BS-8546, they don't have the BSI kite mark on them. They do, however, bear a CE mark, which is a little strange - that being a European certification that doesn't seem like it would be remotely relevant in UK.I believe it would be dangerous to plug a 120V appliance into this adapter. The adapter does clearly state in the listing and in pretty small print on the adapter itself that the adapter does not convert voltage. I don't feel it states clearly enough the risk of someone inadvertently doing so. For example, using a 120V hairdryer with this adapter could result in it burning out in a flash, or melting, or going on fire, or electric shock, or possibly even death. (I'm not trying this at home so I'm not 100% sure what would actually happen)In the UK ring mains are commonly used in homes, and most air bnbs are homes. I don't know how hotels are wired. Ring mains are protected by a 32A breaker at the consumer unit. The 13A fuse in UK plugs and adapters is an essential safety feature to prevent a single device from drawing too much current from that 32A ring main.I would recommend buying a BS-8546 certified travel adapter for use in the UK.UPDATE: I heavily revised the wording of this review after VINTAR reached out asking if I had problems, and offering to address my concerns (even though I had already expressed them in my review) and even offering to refund me for these adapters. It honestly felt like the seller never read or understood my concerns after several messages, or maybe they just had no way to address my concerns that these adapters are not fused or safe. This led me to do more research, and learn more about the relevant safety regulations in the UK. I would probably risk using these adapters again in future (since I already paid for them), but will always ensure that they are connected through a fused multi-socket adapter as are common in UK. Reduced another star for poor seller communication.
