I had single L-bracket rod holders and they bent easily, these are quite sturdy. I haven't tried to purposely break them, the extruded aluminum is still pretty thin, but the simple fact that they are a rigid design is already a huge improvement over the single pieces of bent steel most stores sell.The ridged plastic grips also snap onto the curtain rod and hold it very well. Only thing I'd recommend is toss the useless screws and drywall anchors and get some better ones from the hardware store. Drywall anchors shouldn't even be necessary, if you're putting these up for a window curtain you can screw into the king-studs on either side of the window frame. But the included screws are too short to get decent thread engagement through 1/8" of metal and 1/2" of drywall, some slightly longer screws would be nice.If you do have to use drywall anchors just buy the better quality screw-in type you can find at any hardware store, the anchors that come with this are almost useless.

I really needed a strong yet nice looking curtain rod holders. I'm glad I went with these.They're nice and yet very affordable.I have a kitten who thinks curtains are for building up durability ha. And would pull my other rods down. She's getting better about not climbing my curtains.Hope this review helps on your decision.

Actually using these to do a repair on a garage door. Being used as center support brackets for torsion style spring. Bar kept bowing and popping out of the OE plastic bracket. These had to be modified but holding very secure now.The nylon sleeves have a keyed wedge but can slide sideways. Used 2-face foam tape to keep them from moving. They do add a little bit of friction but compared to the springs tension it's really negligible. Bear in mind they are not supporting any real weight, just for stability. The aluminum is plenty strong enough for the task.

The media could not be loaded.  I really like them. Great for heavy curtains like I have. They are very heavy duty, easy to install and the gripper on the inside is much better than the usual screws to hold the rod in place. The price for the quantity and quality is a great deal. Will definitely buy again and recommend.

Used for my patio curtains & the have a plastic grip that’s sooo much better than the regular ones that come with the curtain rods
