Not sure if it was the device or the charging cord, but I had troubles with this
Super slow charge. Multiple charging cords didn't work with it. I found this to be unreliable.

This thing is sweet. I bring it to the beach when woman and I go so we can run our phones and bluetooth speaker. It really does need to be in direct sunlight to get the juice flowing - but it does charge up my old Iphone 5s (which barely holds a charge these days). I dig the mounting holes so you can strap this baby to just about anything. I would (and have) recommend this to others.
