VSO Green Sichuan Peppercorns Whole - Grade AAA 2 oz.

I am a huge fan of Szechuan peppercorn. And green peppercorns are my favorite. They are not easy to find in the market, so I decide to buy on Amazon and give it a try. They taste good, but not among the best quality. Most of the peppercorns in the pack have seeds, which is not preferred. The best peppercorns are hand picked and the seeds should be removed.

These taste great, but they don't have as much potency as the ones at the restaurants... my mouth doesn't go numb. ;)

I grind these almost to a powder and enjoy them on anything that would take black, white or red. Green Sichuan packs a punch but I find the flavor more subtle and nuanced than other peppers. If you like herbal, earthy flavors you will probably love it!

Really nice. Compared to the ones that I bought from a local Asian market these are A LOT fresher. It's like comparing pre-ground 5 year old spices to fresh whole spices.

Pungent stuff. I don't have much experience with this spice but so far it is both pungent (in a good way) and potent (bite one and your tongue will go numb!)

Extremely overpriced for a very small bag of kernals with lots of extra debris in it

Excellent Sichuan peppercorns. Organic and vacuum-packed. Very fresh and very pungent.
